How to Flash Firmware Motorola Moto E3 Power with RSD Lite

Flash Motorola Moto E3 Power. If you have any problem on your Moto E3 Power system, for example the device runs very slow, or unresponsive when run any installed app. You can fix this problem by perform hard reset or factory reset on this device. But, if this method doesn't work you can try to flash or install a new firmware. For the new product it always get the latest update from the manufacturer, But for old product it will no longer get the firmware update via OTA. This method below will show you how to manually flash a firmware on Motorola Moto E3 Power phone with RSD Lite.

Here is Motorola Moto E3 Power spec, this device released on September, 2016. Comes with 5.0 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors. Powered by Quad-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU, Mediatek MT6735P chipset, Mali-T720MP2 GPU. Supported with 2 GB of RAM, featured with 8 MP of primary camera, and 5 MP of secondary camera. Motorola Moto E3 Power Android OS, v6.0 (Marshmallow).

Now, let we proceed this guide.

Preparation.

  1. Flashing firmware will delete all user data, file, and app installed on Moto E3 Power device, we recommend to Back up it on the computer or other storage.
  2. Make sure your battery is fully charged to avoid the system down during flashing process.
  3. Always use use the original USB cable to connect between Moto E3 Power and the computer.
  4. Make sure USB driver for Moto E3 Power is installed on the computer, If you don't have this, here you can download it.

  6. RSD lite flash tool is needed to help flash firmware into Moto E3 Power.

Flashing Moto E3 Power.

  1. Turn off Moto E3 Power phone.
  2. Once it completely turn off, now boot your Moto E3 Power into fastboot mode. 
    • Press and hold Power button + Volume Up buton at the same time
  3. Then connect Moto E3 Power to the computer using USB cable.
  4. Make sure your Moto E3 Power is successfully detected on the computer, if not you can try this.
    • Check your USB cable
    • Check your USB driver.
    • Change computer ports.
  5. Install RSD Lite on the computer, once finished launch this program from desktop or start menu.
  6. Once RSD Lite window run on the computer, Click the button marked with the arrow and red circle shown at picture below to load Motorola Moto E3 Power  firmware.

  7. Now, navigate to the firmware folder location you have downloaded at preparation step 6 above.
  8. The firmware should has this extensions. 
    • *.hs, 
    • *.xml, 
    • *.shx, 
    • *.sbf,
  9. Once your Motorola Moto E3 Power firmware successfully loaded, you can see at the file properties window.

  10. To proceed flashing Moto E3 Power, just click Start button.
  11. You can see the flashing progress at status window. 
  12. Once finished Moto E3 Power will reboot automatically. you can safely disconnect Moto E3 Power from the computer.
  13. Finish.
